David Asprinio
David Edward Asprinio, M.D.
Dr. David E. Asprinio is Director of Orthopaedics at Westchester Medical Center, specializing in orthopaedic spine surgery and orthopaedic trauma. He is also Chairman and Program Director of New York Medical College - Department of Orthopaedic Surgery. He is an attending orthopaedic surgeon at Sound Shore Medical Center in New Rochelle and the Hospital for Special Surgery in Manhattan. He received his undergraduate degree from the College of the Holy Cross in Massachusetts, where he graduated Cum Laude, and completed his medical degree at the University of Vermont, Burlington. He did his residency at Brown University School of Medicine. He is a Fellow in both Orthopaedic Trauma and Orthopaedic Spine Surgery, having completed Fellowships at the Hospital for Special Surgery and New York Medical College. He is involved in several ongoing research projects involving various types of fractures. He is the author of numerous articles that have been published in professional journals such as the Journal of Orthopaedic Trauma and the American Journal of Medicine and Sports, and he is the author or co-author of several books on Fractures.
